"Should I Freeze Myself When I Die?" with Katee Sackhoff
From season 2 episode 9 of Katee Sackoff's youtube channel - a must watch episode.
40 minutes of excellent and entertaining coverage of cryonics by Katee Sackhoff (who some will know as Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica).

Alcor Dispatch, by Blake Honiotes
Alcor recently responded to two members that had fallen ill. One member was in California and the other was in Nevada. The clinical profiles for both members did not rise to a Level 1 or Level 2 Deployment. Out of an abundance of caution, Alcor elected to Dispatch our strategic partner, International Cryomedicine Experts (ICE), as a precautionary measure. ICE simultaneously positioned experienced professionals in both states and awaited further guidance from Alcor in the event either member’s clinical profile changed.

ICE, in conjunction with Alcor, remained in close geographic proximity to both members during their period of instability. Through daily communication with member representatives, Alcor kept a close watch on the health status of each member. Alcor and ICE maintained daily conversations regarding updates on each member’s condition and developed strategies in preparation to call a Deployment for Standby, Stabilization, and Transport. Thankfully, both members began to recover to the point that the Deployment Committee unanimously agreed it was prudent to terminate both dispatches. Alcor is grateful to our strategic partners that allow us to, quite literally, be in two places at once!
San Jose Funeral Services, by Sarah Kelly
Funeral Homes are critically important partners for Alcor to successfully support Standby, Stabilization, and Transport for patients. Funeral Homes are needed to obtain transit permits, help with arranging transportation back to Alcor, and sometimes assist Alcor representatives with patient care.

One Funeral Home, San Jose Funeral Service, has stood above others in support of Alcor and our patients this year. The San Jose Funeral Service recently assisted Alcor with two cases. During the first case, they granted Alcor 24-hour priority access to their surgical suite and they were willing to assist in any way they could with our procedures. For the second case, they sourced a Ziegler for transport and assisted Alcor representatives with packing and shipping.

Benjamin Brown, Co-Owner of San Jose Funeral Service said, “ Working with ALCOR LIFE EXTENSION makes us feel like we are participating in something scientifically historic.”. Developing and maintaining relationships with cooperative Funeral Homes is of paramount importance for Alcor to provide the highest level of care for our patients. Alcor was honored to present this appreciation plaque to San Jose Funeral Service in June 2020.
